Industrial Engineer

This position performs a variety of engineering assignments. May be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. Determines time and procedures for the manufacturing of parts and assemblies. Assists in the planning and utilization of production facilities. Works closely with departmental resources and other departments and engineering disciplines in the development, procurement, implementation, and application of equipment and processes to increase production, quality, efficiency or volume and/or safety measures to maintain an efficient and safe utilization of plant facilities.



Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Industrial Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields, plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing or related industry required. Good working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems with emphasis or experience in electrical and electronic controls and PLC programming. Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations is essential. Excellent communication, problem solving, organizational, and PC skills are required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. General knowledge of life-safety practices and environmental compliance regulations. Must work effectively under pressure and exercise good judgment. Must be able to work in a heavy manufacturing environment, capable of a great deal of walking and/or standing. Occasional squat, lift, push, pull, and moving of items up to 50 pounds may be necessary. Wearing of mandatory safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes and special equipment as required.  Limited travel required. Post offer, pre-employment physical and drug screen required.
